Episode 132 - Todd Masters of Toddland
Friday Jul 13, 2018
Friday Jul 13, 2018
On today's episode, Austin and I took the show down to Newport Beach to sit down with Todd Masters, the brains behind Toddland!
Toddland has become one of the hottest companies at San Diego Comic-Con with their exclusives for Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, and brand new for this year, American Dad. Their exclusives sell out incredibly fast and they're our favorite items to order. Most of my SDCC spending is usually at Toddland.
We talked to Todd about this years exclusives, the joys of being a fan at SDCC, making rad stuff for fun people, a crazy fan almost punching Todd, our personal collections, how pre-order pickups may work, and so much more.
A huge thanks to Todd for allowing us to come down to the Toddland offices in the middle of their SDCC mayhem to talk with him. Make sure you get your pre-orders in and don't forget, you MUST be at SDCC to pick up your items.
Thanks, Todd!
See you in San Diego!

Episode 130 - AT&T Shape at Warner Brothers
Monday Jun 25, 2018
Monday Jun 25, 2018
On today's episode, Austin Grant and I sit down and recap our time at the AT&T Shape event at Warner Brothers.
Austin was only able to attend part of the first day as he had to head back to Salt Lake City to star in a movie. We talked about what we were able to do at the event while Austin was there, as well as the parts Austin missed out on. We had great panels with some of the filmmakers behind Ready Player One, panels with Issa Rae & P. Diddy, and incredible tech displays highlighting new science and technology in film.
This episode also started a new podcasting experience for us. Since Meltdown closed at the end of March, we've been without regular spot to record the podcast. We bounce back and forth between my place and Austin's, but we thought it would be fun to record at interesting spots around Los Angeles. After hearing about the Los Feliz Murder House on an episode of My Favorite Murder, we decided to check it out since it was right up the street from my place. After checking out the creepy house, we decided to record the episode there.
We have a few other locations in mind that we will be recording at, but if you have a spot you want us to check out on a future episode, let us know!
Thanks for having us AT&T and Warner Brothers!
Enjoy the episode!

Episode 129 - CBS Emmy FYC
Thursday Jun 14, 2018
Thursday Jun 14, 2018
On today's episode, Austin Grant and I sit down to recap the CBS Emmy FYC Event.
Austin and I went to the CBS Redford Lot in Studio City for Emmy presentations from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane The Virgin, Star Trek: Discovery, The Amazing Race, and American Vandal.
There were a few of these shows that neither of us have had a chance to watch, but after seeing their Emmy presentation, we are definitely compelled to dive into these shows right away. Listen to our recap and everything we learned from these shows while we were at CBS.
Thanks for having us, CBS.

The Nerdist Showroom at Meltdown Comics was a place comics across Los Angeles called home. Fans came in from around the country to see shows at NerdMelt and shop at Meltdown Comics. On March 30th, 2018, the place we called home came to a close.
So many incredible people had a part in making this place magical since it first opened as NerdMelt on April 2, 2011. We found out 9 days before closing that we were in our last week of shows. I spent 5 of those days reaching out to everybody I possibly could to sit down and share their memories with me for this video. I was amazed at how eager everybody was to be a part of this.
A huge thanks to every comedian and member of the NerdMelt family that took the time to rush over to NerdMelt in the final days to film this with me. You can watch the fill video on the website www.onthemicpodcast.com or on YouTube.

On today's episode, I am coming to you LIVE from the Blue Carpet at the 2018 Paley Festival in Los Angeles.
Today's guests are cast members from the hit shows "The Orville" and "Mom". Paley Fest took place at the Dolby Theater, and it was such an honor to be a part of this year's fesitvities. Aside from our carpet interviews, I also had the oppotunity to attend screenings and panels for "The Good Doctor" and "Queen Sugar".
Cast members that joined me were: Peter Macon, Mark Jackson, Rico Anderson, and Penny Johnson Jerald from "The Orville", and Jamie Pressly and Beth Hall from "Mom". While I did get a moment with Allison Janney, sadly she had to get to the panel and couldn't do an interview. I talked to the casts about their roles on the show, preparring for their roles, their careers, acting advice and more.
A huge thanks to the Paley Center for allowing me to be a part of this years festival. It was such an honor. If you haven't checked out "The Orville" or "Mom", I would highly suggest watching both. Thanks to the casts of both shows for taking the time to talk to me as well.
See you next year, Paley Fest!
