Thursday Jan 18, 2018
On today's episode, Austin Grant and I take some time to catch up since he's finally joined me here in Los Angeles!
Austin and I talked about the new cleanse that he's started, the upcoming Oscar's, exploring Los Angeles, coffee, hiking, and so much more. We also announced the new sketch show that we will be putting on March 1st at the Nerdist Showroom! Details still to come on that, but mark your calendars now.
Austin will also be more of a regular on the podcast now that he is living here and we both have a little more free time as we're building our careers in LA. We have a lot of great guests coming up, but if we don't have a guest on for the week, you can expect an episode of Austin and I talking about our week and what events we have coming up.

On today's episode I have Katie O'Brien & Katy Colloton from TV Land's "Teachers"!
This is a returning episode for Katie and Katy as they had previously been on the show with the rest of their comedy group, The Katydids. "Teachers" is currently in it's second season which returns TONIGHT on TV Land. This season has been absolutely hilarious and you don't want to miss a moment of it.
It was great to sit down and talk with Katie and Katy about moving to LA and selling their show, developing their characters, working on Season 3, favorite guest stars, heading home for the holidays and so much more.
A huge thanks to Katie and Katy for inviting me out to the set of "Teachers" to record this episode, and taking the time out of their busy schedules right before the holidays. Episode112 - Christmas in LA
Monday Dec 25, 2017
Monday Dec 25, 2017
Merry Christmas, everybody! Today is our annual Christmas episode of the podcast with Austin Grant, Christopher James, and Jesse Knight!
This episode was a little bit different from past years Christmas episodes since only half of us are here in LA. That didn't stop me from having Christopher and Jesse on the show though. Both of them phoned into the podcast for their segments of the show.
As always, Christopher gave us his terrible, horror themed Christmas movie. This year his selection was the film "Elves". This was so terrible I'm going to have to watch it to see how it comes out. You can watch the trailer for this monstrosity below.
The last few years we have also featured a Christmas song on the episode, and this year's choice was "Christmas in LA" from The Killers feat. Dawes. While we're having a great time with Christmas in LA, the song is a little bit sad as it's kind of about the lonely of Christmas in LA, but either way, I like the song and it felt appropriate for our first Christmas in LA.
Thank you to everybody for all of your support throughout 2017. We have a lot of incredible things in store for 2018, including a new studio space that we will be recording in! I hope everybody has an amazing Christmas and stays safe with your family and friends.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Episode 111 - Aaron Woodall
Wednesday Nov 15, 2017
Wednesday Nov 15, 2017
On today's episode, I have comedian Aaron Woodall!
This episode is a little bittersweet as this was the final episode I recorded in Salt Lake before moving the show to Los Angeles. Prior to this episode I had only crossed paths with Aaron a few times at comedy shows, and again in 2016 when we competed against each other for a radio host job, which we both lost. It was great to learn more about Aaron on this episode, and learn more about how he started into comedy.
On the episode I talked with Aaron about getting his start with HumorU, what inspired him to start comedy, finding his comedic voice, writing comedy, touring with The Gateway Show, his VidAngel Comedy Special, and so much more.
A huge Thank You to Aaron Woodall for taking the time to join me on the podcast before we moved the show. It was great to have him on the podcast and get to know him better and get to know more about his comedy background. Make sure to follow Aaron on all of the links on the website, go watch his special, look for his new album "Woodall Alone" soon on iTunes, and go see him if he's performing in your city!
Thanks, Aaron!
Enjoy the episode.

Episode 110 - Sam Pollard
Sunday Nov 12, 2017
Sunday Nov 12, 2017
On today's episode, I talked with Oscar Nominated, and Emmy Winning Director, Sam Pollard!
Sam's new documentary, "Maynard" tells the story of Maynard Jackson, the first African-American Mayor elected in Atlanta. I absolutely loved this filmed and was fascinated to learn the story of a political hero and icon, whose story I had never heard.
On this episode I talked with Sam about how he first heard Maynard's story, how he chooses his documentary topics, Maynard Jackson's influence in modern politics, how Maynard changed the political game, what he would hope current politicians would learn from Maynard, and more.
It was such an honor to speak with Sam about this film. A huge Thank You to Sam Pollard for taking the time out of his busy schedule to talk with me about the film. Make sure to check out the film on all of the links below and make sure to go see it when it's in your city, and when it hits steaming services. You will be thrilled to learn the story of Maynard Jackson.
Thanks, Sam!

Episode 109 - The shortest episode ever with Chris Sullivan
Thursday Oct 26, 2017
Thursday Oct 26, 2017
On today's episode of the podcast, I have actor Chris Sullivan!
Chris is best know for his work on the hit show "This is Us", as well as his recent role in "Guardians of the Galaxy". We had a chance to catch up with Chris at Salt Lake Comic Con back in September in between his signing and panels. This is the shortest episode we've ever released, but the episode we were planning to attach it to never happened and I wanted to make sure that we got it released.
We talked with Chris about his recent success with "This is Us" and "Guardians of the Galaxy", as well as his process of switching from role to role, his favorite horror movies, music that motivates him and more.
A huge Thanks to Chris Sullivan for taking the time to talk with us during his hectic convention schedule. It was great to meet him and he couldn't have been nicer. Make sure to watch "This is Us" and pick up "Guardians of the Galaxy" on Blu-Ray today!
Thanks, Chris!

Wednesday Sep 06, 2017
On today's episode of the podcast, I have filmmaker and actress, Sahna Foley!
I've wanted to have Sahna on the podcast for a while now and was thrilled we were finally able to make it happen. I have been friends with Sahna for several years ago, first meeting her through some animal rights initiatives online. We had a lot of mutual friends through the local film industry as well, and ended up connecting through social media.
On the episode I talked with Sahna about how she got started in film, her passions in activism, working on political and social activist issues, getting into acting, her film "Hellskate", and so much more!
A big Thanks for Sahna Foley for taking the time, and making the long drive down to be on the show. It was great catching up with her and learning more about her career. Make sure to follow her on all of the social media links on the website!

Episode 107 - LoveLoud Fest w/ Neon Trees
Monday Sep 04, 2017
Monday Sep 04, 2017
Today's episode is a bonus episode recorded at the LoveLoud Fest, with special guests, Neon Trees!
I sat down with the band at the LoveLoud Festival in Orem, Utah to talk about their new single "Feel Good", as well as their upcoming music, being a part of the LoveLoud Fest, and so much more.
The LoveLoud Festival was created by Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Barb Young, wife of Hall of Fame Quarterback, Steve Young. Their goal with LoveLoud was to bring attention to the rising suicide rates of LGBTQ Youth and show them that as a community we accept them and our arms are open to show them unconditional love and acceptance. This was such a great concept and I am glad that the festival was such a success.
Neon Trees new single "Feel Good" released in the week leading up to the festival and it was great to see them perform this song live! If you haven't yet, go buy it on iTunes and check out the video for it on our website! You can also watch my interview with Neon Trees on our new YouTube channel. Check them out!
Thanks to Neon Trees for taking the time to join me on the episode. It's always great to catch up with them.

Episode 106 - Billy Anderson & Mike Masilotti
Wednesday Aug 30, 2017
Wednesday Aug 30, 2017
On today's episode, I have comedians Billy Anderson and Mike Masilotti!
I first discovered Billy's comedy through YouTube when I saw clips for a special that he recently shot for VidAngel. His special was absolutely hilarious and I invited him on the podcast as soon as I saw he was coming back to town. Mike is currently tour with Billy on "The Gateway Show Tour", so Billy brought Mike along to join the show. It was great talking to Billy and Mike and learning more about their comedy careers and meeting each other on the stand up scene in Seattle.
On the episode we talked about Billy's struggle to find an ethernet cable, starting stand up and moving to Seattle, creating and touring "The Gateway Show, getting high at Universal Studios and so much more.
A huge thanks for Billy and Mike for taking the time to come on the show while they were in town. My face hurt from laughing after recording with them. Make sure to follow them on the social media links at onthmicpodcat.com and you can check out Billy's stand up special on YouTube or VidAngel.
Thanks, Guys!

Episode 105 - Rob Kutner
Tuesday Jul 25, 2017
Tuesday Jul 25, 2017
On today's episode I sat down with Conan writer, and former Daily Show writer, Rob Kutner at San Diego Comic-Con.
Rob's comic book "Shrinkage" was released in paperback and is being sold at the Golden Apple Comics Booth during San Diego Comic-Con. Rob will also be doing a signing July 21 from 6-7PM at the Golden Apple Comics booth, #1806.
Rob joined us briefly during our live show at San Diego Comic-Con, but it was great to sit down and have a little bit deeper of a conversation with Rob about his writing career. I talked with Rob about getting his start with Dennis Miller, working on The Daily Show, lessons he's learned in comedy writing, working with Conan, the concept of "Shrinkage", Runaway Brains, and more.
A huge Thank You to Rob Kuttner for taking the time in between Conan tapings to sit down with me for this episode.
