Episode 93 - Elaine Bradley
Friday Feb 10, 2017
Friday Feb 10, 2017
On today's episode I have Neon Trees drummer, Elaine Bradley!
I have been a fan of Elaine's for years since I first saw her perform with her band Another Statistic back in 2005. I have wanted to have Elaine on the podcast for a while, and was glad to finally have her join us on the show.
On the episode, we talked to Elaine about how she joined Neon Tress, how she started drumming, being a guest drummer for Late Night with Seth Meyers, reviving Another Statistic, creating her new band Kissed Out, and so much more!
A huge Thank You to Elaine for taking the time out of her incredibly busy schedule to join us on the show. It was so great to learn more about Elaine's career and influences. Another Statistic will be playing a show next weekend at Velour Music Gallery in Provo, Utah. So if you're in Utah, make sure to check out this show. Elaine's new band Kissed Out has their first single "Minus Your" available on iTunes now. Go pick it up, and grab a Neon Trees album while you're at it!
Thanks, Elaine!
Enjoy the episode.

Episode 92 - LIVE from the Sundance Film Festival (Part 2)
Monday Jan 30, 2017
Monday Jan 30, 2017
On today's episode we are coming to you once again LIVE from the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Today's episode is Part 2 of our Sundance coverage where I am joined by Jesse Knight, as well as Christopher James and Quinci Staker from the "In Movie Nerds We Trust" Podcast to talk about all of the films that we have had the chance of screening during the festival.
All of use watched so many films during the festival. Between the 4 of us, over 30 films were screened! We had so many favorites of the festival, my personal favorite being "The Big Sick". We also talked about the new documentary "Cries From Syria" that was recently acquired by HBO and is very relevant to what is happening within our country now.
Some of the many films we talked about were "Crown Heights", "The Incredible Jessica James", "Mudbound", "Dave Made A Maze", "What Lies Upstream", "Cortez", "Killing Ground", "Suck It Up", "Dim The Fluorescents", "Future '38", "Fucking Bunnies", and so many more. I can say we enjoyed a lot more than usual this year, which made a lot of these films really fun.
A big Thank You to the Sundance Film Festival for allowing us to cover the festival once again this year. We had such an incredible time at the festival, despite the snows best attempts to make it miserable. Make sure to keep your eyes open for so many of these great independent films as they release on HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and of course in theater throughout the year. You aren't going to want to miss out these films. Thank you as well to Christopher, Quinci and Jesse for spending the last week freezing at watching these Sundance films.
See you next year, Park City!

Wednesday Jan 25, 2017
On today's episode, we are LIVE from the Sundance Film Festival!
This is Part 1 of our Sundance coverage, where I was joined by Jesse Knight and Christopher James as we talk about some of our Sundance experiences over the opening weekend of festivities.
Sundance is always such a great time. As many of you know, I spend a few months leading up to Sundance Producing shows for X96's Radio From Hell show. Jesse and I have been hanging out with Radio From Hell at the Wasatch Brew Pub the last few days and it's been incredible.
In the episode we talked about some of the films we've been watching, some of our favorite actors and filmmakers we've had on the show and run into on the street, some of the hilarious interviews we've watched, getting stuck in the snow and so much more.
This was my last year producing these Sundance shows for Radio From Hell as I have a lot of projects on my plate now, and of course, making the move back to Los Angeles. I can't thank them enough for letting me produce their Sundance shows for the last 4 years. It's been a great experience!
Thank you to Sundance for always letting us cover the festival. It's one of our favorite times of the year and we love being a part of this great festival.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of our Sundance episodes that will release this weekend with our reviews of so many of the films we've watched.
Enjoy the episode!

Episode 89 - Merry Christmas, Your Grandparents Are Whores!
Saturday Dec 24, 2016
Saturday Dec 24, 2016
Merry Christmas, Everybody! On today's episode I sat down with Austin Grant, Jesse Knight, & Christopher James for our 2nd Annual On the Mic Christmas Episode!
We've been looking forward to recording this episode for the last several months. As always, Austin makes his special Christmas drink, Christopher shares a terrible holiday movie with us, and complete mayhem breaks out. As always, this year's episode title comes from one of the ridiculous things that Christopher said on the episode.
Last year we talked about favorite Christmas movies, but this year we turned our attention to Christmas music. I'm not a fan of traditional Christmas music, but I do love the punk renditions of Christmas songs.
On the episode we opened presents, talked about our favorite Rock/Punk Christmas songs, our favorite childhood memories, Christmas Traditions, family time, our Christmas plans this year and so much more.
We had such a great time recording this episode and I'm glad our schedules allowed the four of us to record this episode again this year. Thanks to Austin, Jesse and Christopher for making the time available to make the episode happen.
We hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Enjoy the episode!

Episode 87 - Sean Bloomfield
Saturday Nov 26, 2016
Saturday Nov 26, 2016
On today's episode, I had documentary filmmaker and author, Sean Bloomfield.
Sean joined me on the show to talk about his new film, 'Apparition Hill'. This film is not the normal type of film we would promote on the podcast, but I was intrigued by the premise of the film, and after watching it wanted to talk with Sean to learn more about it. It's not a secret that I'm not a fan of religion, and this film didn't change that at all, but it's overall message and feel was still incredibly fascinating.
'Apparition Hill' follows seven strangers as they journey to Medjugorje, a small village in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to investigate the reports of miracles and supernatural phenomena's. The seven strangers, comprised of two atheists, a believer, a mom struggling with cancer, a man with ALS, a struggling addict, and a woman questioning her faith. Sean found these people through a video contest he held and picked his seven from there.
I talked to Sean about how he first learned about Medjugore, what he's learned from the film and from his time on Apparition Hill, the overall message of the film, dealing with cynics, and more.
'Apparition Hill' is currently playing nationwide, and just opened in New York City yesterday. Check out the links below to learn more about this film and find where it is playing near you. I went into this film a skeptic, and still left as a skeptic, but it still is a film that with an open mind will be interesting to anybody that watches.
Thanks for joining me, Sean!
Enjoy the episode.

Episode 85 - Festival Supreme
Sunday Nov 13, 2016
Sunday Nov 13, 2016
On today's episode of the podcast, I sat down with Christopher James to talk about the incredible time I had covering this year's Festival Supereme!
I've always wanted to attend Festival Supreme and the show lived up to everything, and so much more than I expected. For those of you that are not familiar with Festival Supreme, it's a music and comedy festival put on by none other than Tenacious D!
Sadly Christopher didn't get to attend the show with me, but he got to enjoy the show vicariously through my Snapchat and Instagram. To say the least, he hated me for at least the eight hours I was at the show.
This year's Festival Supreme had such an incredible lineup, featuring: "Weird Al" Yankovic, Flight of the Conchords, Patton Oswalt, Will Forte, Fred Armisen, Eric Andre LIVE!, Garfunkle and Oates, Sarah Silverman, Jenny Slate, and so many more! Christopher and I talked about my incredible experience at the show, as well as meeting two of my biggest idols, "Weird Al" & Fred Armisen.
